gross fraud practiced on Hadjee Mehettee.
Though Hadjee Mehettee has by his affidavit endeavour’d to make the Court beleive that he sign’d the Indemnity Bonds without knowing the Contents, but when it was so easy for him, living at Chinsurah, where many live who understand English well, and probably the two Armenians who witness’d these Bonds understood English, the Court will not readily beleive he sign’d what he did not understand.
The Condition of the Bond shows the whole Transaction, and his signing it implies his assent to the sale made by Mr. Skiddy and to all that had been done.
