Mr. Lawrence for the Defendant.
I take it the objections are 3 fold: 1st Mr. Davies contends the Defendant is a British Subject within the true construction of the Act and Charter.
2nd That the Defendant has not shewn the Cause of the Action arose before he was a British Subject.
3rd That he has not shewn a Court to which he was subject.
This settlement is not like the Collonies in any other.
The Protection is given to those who are Servants of British Subjects.
