I should not have told [the] people of our Village, if they had not inquired.
We never attempted to run away from the Paicks in going to the Gardens.
We never desired any of those we met of our Villagers to make any complaint for us or to endeavour to obtain our Liberty. The Paicks carried no Weapon but a stick, and we did not attempt to take that from them.
