Mr. Davies objects to the reading of these two papers because to read the allegations of Deft’s agents as evidence for him, would be to allow him to testify for himself.
As to No 22, though it is not offered in due time, provided it be proved that the Bengally paper 22 is of exactly the same import with 21, of which it professes to be a translation from Hindostany into Bengally; he does not much object to their proving an English Translation of it.
Though certainly to make it good Evidence
