Custody to the intent and for the purpose of sending him the said William Duane to England on the first of the ships of the said United Company which shall be dispatched for England from Bengal, or untill the said William Duane should enter into Security binding himself, in the sum of Ten thousand Sicca Rupees and two securities to be approved by the said Governor General in Council, each in the sum of sicca Rupees Five thousand respectively, that he the said William Duane will be forthcoming on the day fixed for the dispatch of the Packet of such ship from Calcutta aforesaid, and then surrender himself to the acting Town Major of Calcutta aforesaid for the time being, that such Orders may be given for his the said William Duaneās proceeding to England, as the said Governor General in Council shall judge proper, and that in obedience to such order, I the said James Cosmo Gordon, in the Execution of my said Office of Acting Town Major of and for the Garrison of Fort William aforesaid, did (as it was lawfully for me to do) on the said first day of June instant arrest and take the Body of said William Duane, and, him the said William Duane do still
