detain and keep in my Custody as in the execution of my said Office of Acting town Major as aforesaid and by virtue of and in obedience to the said Order of the said Governor General in Council to me so as aforesaid given. It is lawful for me to do. Dated this Sixteenth day of June in the year one thousand seven hundred & Ninety one.
