I called on him to name to me the persons from whom he had his intelligence. Fenwick then told me, that Mr. Brown had his information from Mr. Hutchinson. Mr. Fenwick proposed (the proposal did not come from me, I believe; but perhaps it might in conversation) that He should write a letter to me which I should show to Mr. Larkins stating, that his information from not from Mr. Faire: there were present, I believe, Mr. Lamb, Mr. Lisle, & Mr. Brown. I do not perfectly recollect from whom the proposal came: the letter was written & I do not know that it has been produced as an Exhibit it has not been produced by me. I called the 500 Rs. A bribe from the accompaniment. Many times I borrowed money from Mr. Fenwick, & an underrepeated [ILL] to him. He never made any Terms before; or I should have behaved as I did at last I applied to him to be an arbitrator betw me & the printers, & he consented.
