I know many Ramcanto Sercars, but do not know who went to Calighat to swear. Biru Sercar are many: No Biru Sercar was my bail but I was bail for one Biru Sercar at Mr. Motte’s. He serves country caste as I never went to Calighat to take an oath, but I went often to make offerings. None of the persons just named ever went with me to Calighat. I never heard, nor do I know, of anyone’s asking Ramanrain for an agreemt in writing, bef. They gave evidence. I demanded no share of any reward, but attended on my subpoena. I know nothing of the agreemt or the money. I never deposited any agreemt with Beero Sercar or Ramconnor Cunevar; but the prisrs are very capable of procuring witnesses to say so.
