I had lent him 11,000 Rupees; but he, combining with Tonu Shome & wishing to deprive me of my money, indicted me for larceny: I gave bail, & attended, but the trial was not brought on. I then sued Mr. Driver & recovered my money. I stayed here a year & a half after the indictmt. I then went to Murshidabad.
