Meer Khan cross-examined
There are different Buildings, on each side detached, in the the House of Shah Baz Beg Khan. They are large buildings but separate, they are inclosed by different Walls. The Rooms are all round the Compound, there is a Veranda with Pillars, a Hall. I lived for about him or twelve years in the House, tho’ there are Passages that separate some parts of the Buildings; yet there are other parts in which the same Buildings communicate. The Plaintiff and Shah Baz Beg Khan lived in the same room; in the outer apartment the men set to receive Company and the Woman in the same apartment. Where Shah Baz Beg Khan used to receive Company there were no Goods, all the Goods were in the Women’s apartments. When the defendants, with the People I mentioned, first came, they sat down in the outer apartment, where Shah Baz Beg used to receive Company.
They could not take the Inventory of the Effects whilst the Women were in the apartments
