And the said Thomas Cotton saith that by reasons of any thing by the aforesaid Alexander in Pleading above alledged he ought to be barred from having and maintaining his aforesaid action thereof against him the said Alexander became he saith that he the said Thomas at the time of asserting his said Plaint against the said Alexander was not nor is indebted to the said Alexander in the aforesaid several sums of money or either of them or any part thereof in manner and form as the said Alexander hath in pleading above alledged And this to pray may be enquired of by the Court and as to the said Plea of the said Alexander by him in pleading Secondly above pleaded [ILL] that he by any thing in the said Plea secondly or administrators or any of them should not nor could revoke or Countermand the authority thereby given but that they their Executors or administrators should & would from time to time and as of there should be [ILL] ratify and Confirm the same, and also give and grant to the said Alexander Davidson and John Maxwell their Executors administrators or assigns such further authority and Power in the Provinces as the said Alexander
