This Defendant Saving and reserving to himself now and at all times hereafter all and all manner of benefit and advantage of Exception that may be had or taken to the many errors uncertainties and insuffeciencies in the Complainants said Bill of Complaint contained for answer thereunto or unto so much thereof as this Defendant is advised is material or necessary for him to make answer unto he answereth and saith he admits that he is a British Subject residing within the Province of Bengal and therefore a person subject to the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court this Defendant also admits it may be true that in or about the Time in Bill mentioned the Complainant was possessed of considerable Property in Houses Lands and other Effects but this Defendant well knows that nearly the whole thereof was there incumbered by Mortgages Seizures used in Execution and
