Mr. Turnbull, Having heard the Witnesses for the Defendants, inform’d the Court, that he thought it necessary to declare that although he had before sworn that he thought the fracture of the skull of the deceased to have been the effect of many blows, yet it might be the effect of one blow with a very large and heavy stick.
The jury staid out of Court a considerable time, and then brought in their Verdict
