Question’d by Mr. Strettell for the Prisoner.
During the time (which I mentioned) in which I kept my eye on the prisoner, I heard every thing that was said, and saw every thing that passed, between him and my husband; and I have mentioned all. Had any thing else been said or done, I must have heard and seen it. My husband was not a troublesome man, nor did I ever know him troublesome to Europeans: about the toll of a nullah I never knew him quarrel with them. His back & belly breast were swelled in consequence of the wounds he had received.
