Deceased then with 8 or 10 men of his party fell upon her master with Sticks and beat him – he flourishing his sword retreated towards his house – he brought the sword from his vessel – Prisoner & the deceased [fell?] [ILL] the People – Then 400, or 500 Men armed with [Sticks?] fell upon her master and beat him – he got clear [and?] into his Bungalow – Mrs. Smyth took the Sword from him – She forbid deceased to come into the Bungalow – but he abused her with foul language and beat her – two others of deceased’s party also beat her mistress. They all 400, or 500, got into the house or the ground belonging to it. Her master had money in his pocket that [ILL] to pay [ILL] expences &c while down somebody cut his pocket and took his money.
