said to have made his Resignation by a Letter written February 8th 1785 on board the Ship Berrington Captain Johnston, when the Ship was out at Sea, beyond the Limit on the Sea Coast of the Province of Orissa, and in the Letter it is reported he writes he then resigns his Office of Governor-General and his Station in the Company’s Service.
