Replic – to 2d Plea that Deft made the first assault de Injuria sua Propria.
Issue thereon

This cause, which is one of the last in the paper of causes for the sittings, was now by consent of both sides called on, merely for the purpose of examining Witnesses for the Plaintiff, one of whom is an officer & the other private man in the 42d Regt, and who are obliged to set out for Danapoor tomorrow, the regt being now on it’s march to that Place.
Accordingly the 2 follo Depositions are taken of
1. Wm. Campbell – and Ensign in that Regt
& 2. John Cameron – private soldier.
And then the [ILL] is ordered to stand
