the Rajah sent some of his Dandies, that is, Boat-Men, to fetch Attaram, and they did so, and after Attaram was brought Ramlochurn ask’d who was the Shekdar, and being told, he sent an Hircarrah and three or four Dandies to fetch the Plaintiff to him. They found him in the Cutcherry and told he must go with them, their Master the Maharaja, wanted him; He said who is the Maha-Raja: they answer’d, do not you know the Maha-Rajah, Ramlochurn is the Maha-Rajah. The Plaintiff replied I am not your Masters Servant, nor do I owe him any thing, if he has any thing to say to me, let him come to the Cutcherry. The Hircarrah and Dandies went back and reported this answer to their Master, and he presuming on his immence Riches, took on himself authority to take him from his Cutcherry and sent Peons, Hircarrahs, and Dandies to the Number of at least twenty to force the Sikdar from his Cutcherry to the Rajah’s Boat.
