get up, using at the same time abusive language to him, and they push’d him out of the Cutcherry, by the back of the Neck, and in the way to the boat push’d and dragged him along, and gave him blows with the open hand, and blows with the fist, and kicks. When he was got to the Boat they dragged him in, and Ramlochun bid the Men beat him, and bid some Man strike him with a Slipper, and some Man did accordingly strike him with a Slipper.
Then he was carried to another place, and there his ears were twisted and his nose pull’d by order of the Defendant Rajah Ramlochurn, and in his sight.
The Witnesses for the Plaintiff proved the Substance of this Opening.
After the Closing of the Evidence for the Plaintiff, it being past two o’Clock we adjourn’d.
