Indictment which consists of four Counts –
In the first Count –
The Indictment charges –
Ramchunder Sein, Gopee Nazir, Golaum Ashruff & Odeit [sutereding?] to deprive Prawnkissen Sing of his fame and reputation and bring him into [ILL] of all his Majesty’s subjects and to [ILL] [his?] to be removed from and deprived of his offices of Naib Dewan to the Committee of Revenue and Naib to the [Canongoe?] Mohundernarain (which are respectively offices of [A ILL] and profit) and to bring him into danger of his life and forfeiture of his Goods did on the first day of May [ILL] conspire & combine among themselves falsely to charge the said Prawnkissen Sing with divers enormous crimes particularly that he had lately forged and counterfeited and had caused and [pro ILL] aided and assisted Golaum Ashruff in forging and counterfeiting certain receipts for
