Friday. 30 June 1786.
After the motions in civil causes were over, the Court directed one Gopaul Roy & Heerah, who are indicted for muder, to be put to the Bar & arraigned, intending to proceed in the Trial immediately, and a Jury was ready for that Purpose. But the Prisoner saying that he did not now before, that his trial was to come on this day, & that two Wtses, who had been subpoena’d for him & had attended several days, were not now present, and these assertons being confirmed by the Jailer, the Trial is put off till this day week & fresh Subpoenas are to issue for those Wtses.
