On the Ecclesiastical side; the Court heard Counsel on both sides, on the petition of Wm. Ledlie for administr to the estate of Chas Eaton deced, and the Counter petition & caveat of Louis Tessier Dumoulin.
Mr. Ledlie petd as a friend & Credr of the deced, and it was proved that for a year & ½ past Mr. Eaton’s business as an Atty of this Cot had been chiefly conducted by Mr. Ledlie as his head Clerk, & that for his trouble he had a share of the profits. Mr. Dumoulin petd as a friend of the deced, & as Grandfather to the young children which deced has left, Mrs. Eaton, who died before her husband having been the daughter of Mr. Dumolin. N. 13 Mr. Dumolin resides at Chand[nagor]e out of the Jurisdon of the Cot, but offered to give bond, with British Sureities, to the Regr or to the Accountant Genl for his residence in Calc: during the Admon. The Court thot Mr. Ledlie had a prior right by the Chr and was in other respects the fitter person. We overruled the Caveat & granted the admon to Ledlie

It was proposed to split the admon, granting Mr. Ledlie admon of all Debts on Accot of business done by deced as an atty which would have satisfied L’s claim as a creditor, and to [ILL] admon of all other effects, but the Court would not do it because they [thot?] Mr. Ledlie full as fit a [ILL] to administer the other goods as Mr. Dumoulin
