In the Goods of Alexander Lawson.
James Huggins now Petitions for Administration Cum Testamento Annexo: He claims as a Judgment Creditor. Lawson on December 6th 1776 gave a Warrant of Attorney to confess a Judgment on a Bond of the same date, as of the next or any subsequent Term: On the 20th of Jan: 1777, Lawson died before Eight o’Clock in the Morning: On the same day, but as was alledged, later than the hour of Lawson’s Death, the Prothonotary’s Office not being usually Open so soon, Mr. Corr enter’d his Confession of the Judgment for the Defendant by Virtue of this Warrant of Attorney, and dated it Jan: 20th.
The Prothonotary enter’d the Judgment on the Record to be a Confession on the Seventh of January which is the first day of the Term, in which the 20th of January happens, on the 26th of Feb. the
