Reports circulated at Madras will appear to this Court and to all Persons a sufficient justification of those suspicions which occasion’d the Under Writers at Madras to refuse to pay the Loss. It seems as if the condition of the Ship Hinchingbrooke was so well known here that the Agent Mr. De Lisle could not fill the whole sum he wished by Under Writers here in Bengal and that seems to have been the Reason why Mr. De Lisle applied to
