who was the Prosecutrix, and a Witness, being ask’d whether she was willing that the Trial should be delay’d for about Five Months, answer’d very sensibly, that if the Trial was so put off, it might probably happen that some of the Witnesses might die and that others might be gone away on their own business and could not be found.
The Court being of Opinion the Trial ought not to be Delay’d, the Prisoner Gower was now arraign’d and Pleaded
