The Trial of this Cause, which was begun yesterday, was continued to day.
Mr. Newman. Had yesterday open’d the Case of the Defendant.
Mr. Thompson; To day, took, objections to the Notice of Justification: First that the amount of the Debt is not stated: Secondly: That there is no notice that the Plaintiff in this Cause is to be charged for the Debt of another: And Thirdly that there is no notice of any verbal argument to be answerable for other Shroffs, which is open’d to be given in Evidence.
Mr. Newman. Answer’d these objections that Mr. Brix by his manner of examining the Witnesses for the Plaintiff had made
