I locked up my shop in the Lall Bazar, and the gowdon what is behind it. I don’t live with my family in the place where I sell my liquor. On monday morning I went myself to open my shop & godown, and found that almost all the liquor that had been left in the godown, in bottles, was taken away. I had not counted my stock the night before, but the porter was in one chest, the Madeira wine in another & some claret & Arrack upon Shelves. I believe I lost much more but I can swear that I lost in all the hundred bottles. The greater
