Bobjon, that in the Armen: yr 137 answering to 1783 English, Martercus a Noverae or Bishop was in Bengal, that about the Armenian year 144=AD 1759 – Dept returned to Bengal , fod that the Bishop had left Bengal – And this Deponent was informed at Bussorah, in the Armenian year 148, and afterwards at Bengal on this Deponent’s return, and which this Deponent believes to be true, that the said Marterius Bishop had proceeded from Calcutta to Madras, back to Bengal, from thence to Surat and from Surat to Bussorah. And this Deponent verily believes that that was the only time the said Martercus Bishop ever was at Madras.
And this Deponent the said Abraham Johannes for himself with that he this Deponent was at Bussorah in May in the Armenian year 139, two or three months after which Martercus Bishop arrived there from his Town to Calcutta Madras and Surat and soon after which he the said Martereus Bishop left Bussora & went to his native Country. That in the Armenian year 144 this Deponent arrived at Madras from Bussorah, at which place this Deponent was [ILL] informed by the principal Armenian Gentleman there and which this Deponent believes to have him true that the said
