1780. Sessions. [Tuesday] June 13th.

Tuesday June 13th 1780.
Present
Sir E. Impey . . . . . at 9o:15’
and
Mr. Justice Hyde . at 9o:15’

[Triple Line]
Udinarain Chowdry.
Charged with Perjury, in an affidavit of Debt. On his arraignment he pleaded Guilty, and his Plea was recorded.
He said the Defendant owed the Money to Udinarain Chowdry, who was his the Prisoner’s Master. This he said but probably there was no such real person existing as Udinarain Chowdry, nor any real debt due from the Defendant in the Action, but the Prisoner was hired by some Person from Malice against the Defendant to make a false, and groundless affidavit of a great debt, and falsely to take on him the name Udinarain Chowdry.
