A Will, written in Portuguese, was offer’d to be proved, the word “Procuradores” which was used in the original was inserted in the Translation, with a Note at the bottom of the page, written by the Translator, that the word “Procuradores” was used by the common people among the Portuguese to signify Executors, as well as other significations. This I objected to as not being an English word, and consequently, not being a Translation, I objected too, to the words “I give to my House-born Quintaria 50 Rupees Sicca” as not a Translation into good English.
