An Action of Assault and Battery.
It was proved the Defendant gave the Plaintiff about Twelve very severe strokes with a Rattan about as thick as a Man’s thumb.
The Defendant it apepar’d on the Evidence of Mr. Touchet was a partner with Mr. Touchet, and managed his Works, in Planting Mulberry Trees, breading Silk worms, and manufacturing Silk, and also in [ILL] Sugar and Rum, at a place call’d Aummid Poor
