He shod not pay the rate issued upon a ho occupied by him being No. 55, 4th Division, & 2d [ill] which had bn due on 1 Jan 1788 altho had bn demanded by F Dash a person duly appointed to collect the same, & that he had appear but did not offer any cause st ever; therefore they the sd W. J. &c by writing &c as aforesaid did adjudge that the said J. Swift shod forthwith pay to the sd T. D. the sum of 67 SR & 8 Ana for the quarterly tax. And Plf in fact said that 2 May Notice in writing of the Adjudu was given to & left with sd J. Swift
