“Surgeon Major F. B. Thomas draws pay from the 1st February 1782 to the 31st January 1784 Sont Rs 3648. Inadmissible, the Board of inspection in their letter to the Commy General dated 24th June 1783 having directed him not to consider officers on leave of sufferance with the Nabob Vizier entitled to any other pay or allowances than those they received from his Excellency during the period they may remain in his service. . . .
