about 7 at night & was easing herself before my door, while I was cooking my victuals, a cooly who was splitting wood called out to me and sd that the deced was spoiling my ground before my door. On my coming out I saw her & I told sd “Kum [buctee?]! Unfortunate woman! why are you spoiling the ground before my door? Why don’t you go to a little distance where there is a large piece of vacant ground?”
Upon which she arose up, holding her belly at the same time, and stood still.
