in Calcutta at the time when the Plaint was filed, was disproved by Deft’s witnesses.
It appeared that while Mr. Henchman was in Calcutta, the Deft had lived partly at Chandernagore & partly here about Mr. H: & business, but that since Mr. H. went to Europe, he has had no residence in Calc: but came down once in 2 or 3 months on a visit to his bror and stayed here 2 or 4 days at a time. Mr. H: went to Europe about Oct: 1787.
Plf filed 12 June 1788.
It was proved that he was in Calcutta soon after the capias issued, having come down from Chandernagur to Calcutta
