Tried for the Murder of Deyvasahey. I was not in Court at the begining of the Trial, not coming into Court till about half an hour after Nine, which was half an hour after the time appointed. Impey and Chambers were both there before I came.
The Prisoner was named in the Indictment Sied Golam Hyder, alias Amayet, alias Rahmet Ally, Alias Zaffer Ally.
It was reported he was known at different places, by each of these names.
The Murder was proved to have been committed on Sunday March 16th 1777, on the 6th of August 1777 the examination was taken before Mr. Law at Patna from the Prisoner, after he was taken there by Deena the Hircarrah.
