that the whole family possess, to a very great amount, claiming it all, truly or falsely, as the property of Govindram, whereas they are in possession of the whole, allowing her barely a maintenance, and her Jewels. Ramlochun and others of the family were charged on Oath before me, with having caused false and totally groundless affidavits of very great Debts to be made against two Bengallees who were Agents of the Widow, for the purpose of getting them into Prison, thereby to prevent their giving assistance to the Widow, and to deter all others from assisting her: and on this charge I issued a Warrant and several of the family appear’d before me, the charge seem’d to me to be true, and I bound them by Recognizance to appear to answer an Indictment at the then next Sessions, but there was no Trial, the Parties having agreed among themselves, to drop all prosecution on Terms agreed between them, some of which were discontinuing the Actions and releasing the Def=
