Johanna had been a Whore kept by a Mohommedan Khansumaun or Consummer, Algrain had a mind to marry her, the Khansumaun refused to give her leave to marry, except she would pay him the money he had laid out in keeping her: the woman agreed to this, and afterward Lavender paid the money for her to the Khaunsumaun and for this chiefly, the action was brought. They fail’d in the attempt to prove the money paid. There was a small sum of Twenty Rupees proved to be due for a Beetle Box sold to Joanna: The Counts were: Goods Sold: Money lent: Money Received to the use of the Plaintiff: For the Defendants evidence was given of money lent to the Plaintiff much exceeding Twenty Rupees, and as this Evidence might have been, admitted
