Ejectment
John Doe, on the Demise of Ram doss Byraghee
v
Collipersaud Gose
Mr. Sealey, for the Plaintiff.
About Seventeen Years ago Ram Doss Byraghee was in possession of the Land in Question, by grant from the Company, it being his share of a Certain Parcel of Land Granted by the Company to certain Weavers.
He went on a Pilgrimage, and left his Land in charge of a friend but he, soon after he went away, sold the Land to Ram Sunder Metre, and when Ram Doss came back he sued in the Country Court in Calcutta, but Ram Sunder Metre being an Officer of the Collector’s Cutcherry it was impossible to get Justice against him.
