Mr. Fairfax Moresby’s leave of Absence
Plfs people prod: Exh C on [which] much convers— and the result was that both sides were ordered to prod: their books, & I (says Wts) by desire of both portions appointed Manic Muckerjee to examine them. After many days examin— he delivered in Exh: No 20 as an accot of the Bal due to Plfs; the paper, as he said was wr: by Cheitun Chern Cur.
Deft’s [ILL] Objd at first to above 40000 Rs but reduced before me to 8000 odd hundreds, by their confession. Whereupon I desired they wd write their objs they did so upon No 20.
That paper being laid before me, Plfs put in the nagry paper 21 of wh: 22 is a Beng: Transl— 23 & 24 were also delds in – no Eng: Transl
Then came on, the subject of profits. – Deft’s people made the profits amount to abot 12000 from [which] the Exps of the Coty were to be deducted & then they made the ½ of the remder which each was to have amount to about 3000 R. This sum is not included in C.

N. B. One of the motions made this day (3 Febr: was by Mr. Shaw in favour of Mr. Fairfax Moresby, an Attorney of this Court, whose petition and affidavit being read, “the Court is pleased to allow the sd F: M: to depart out of the limits of the Jurisdiction of the Cot, & to remain out of it untill the 1st day of the 3d Term 1792, without incurring any of the penalties mentioned in the 94th Standing Rule. And it is ord: that in the meantime, no one shall practise in his name, or do any act for him contrary to the 12th Rule
