This I say from having seen him write, having received letters from him, & from my general knowledge of his handwriting.

I was one of the committee for inquiring into the charges against Mr. Price. I have often seen Mr. Fenwick write & seen many letters in his handwriting. I know his writing when I see it. I have no doubt of it. I look at A & think both the body of it & the signature to be in Mr. C. Fenwick’s hand writing. I have no doubt of it. I look at Exh. Y & think the superscription “Wm Larkins Esq is the handwriting of Mr. Fenwick. The two words being and hand or hands (interlined) are, I think in Mr. F’s handwriting : the body of Y is a handwriting in which I have frequently seen letters sent by Mr. Fenwick to the committee, or to the government or to Mr. Larkins signed by Mr. Fenwick. I am not positively sure which
