I generally sat at one end, while Mr. F was at the other, but I have frequently been near him, while he was writing. I once or twice I think, saw him sign his name at that committee, to paper, which he delivered in. On looking at the proceedings at the committee, 29 Sept. 1790, I find in my own handwriting a note made at the time, [See the Exhibit C1.] Read [ILL] and I now show the letter D. 1. Read. referred to in that minute: that was written in the committee’s room by Mr. Fenwick. I do not know whether he took a copy of it or not. He was attending us on his duty in consequence of the charges against Mr. Price & Mr. Thornhill: the charge against the by Mr. de Mello was in writing. The original charge is not here. Orders in writing were given to us relative to a charge against Mr. Larkins. Mr. Fenwick
