not positively recollect whr I was directed to carry it I did not tell my master at Col. Murray’s, that the 2d letter had been delivered to Mr. Larkins. I thought I was sent for an answer to the letter I myself delivered. Whilst my master was conversing with Mr. Lisle, he ordered me to go for an answer.

My master delivered the letters to me at the courthouse, about 3 o’clock. Mr. Fenwick’s house is at a garden near Bytakhana. I left him here, & went to his house.
