said Damage of Fifty thousand sicca Rupees Complained of he the said Alexander Colvin says that she the said Elizabeth Fenwick ought not to [ILL] maintain her action aforesaid thereof against [ILL] said Alexander Colvin because he says that he [ILL] Alexander Colvin after the Expiration of the [ILL] Mouths from the Day the said Caveat was with and he the said Alexander Colvin had obtained [ILL] of Administration to the Estate of the said James [ILL] Ross in the said Condition above mentioned to [ILL] on the Second day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety one at [ILL] at Fort William aforesaid Paid to the said Elizabeth the said sum of Sicca Rupees three thousand one [ILL] parcel pf the said Principal sum of Five thousand Rupees in the [ILL] condition of the said writings lastly above mentioned and the Damages for [ILL] thereof by him the said Alexander Colvin and the said Alexander Calvin is ready to verify he Prays Judgment of the said Elizabeth [ILL] ought to have or maintain her action thereof [ILL] him the said Alexander Colvin.
And as to the residual of the [ILL] sum of Five thousand sicca Rupees in the said Condition of the said writing obligatory lastly [ILL] mentioned and the Damage for the detention [ILL] by him the said Alexander Colvin being the [ILL] of the said Damage of Fifty thousand Sicca Rs above complained of the said Alexander Colvin that he cannot deny the action of the said Elizabeth Fenwick nor but that he the said Alexander Colvin
