Behadre Khan Represents that the Widow of the late Shabaz beg refuses to deliver up the Ultumgaw Sunnuds and otherwise comply with the Decree of the Cauzy’s and Mufties, and that she has absented herself from the House contrary to the Mussulman Custom which reflects a Disgrace on the Family. He therefore prays that she may be given up to his Care as representative to the Heir which is the usual mode established in the Country.
The Board are sorry to find themselves under the necessity of interposing further in Matters of private property than is requisite to obtain and give Force to the Decision of the Law Officers, yet in such Cases as the above it becomes unavoidable; The obliging the
