That he thinks the prisoner was affected by Head aches which brought on a sort of fever for which he was blistered on the head & had his hair cut off.

Does not recollect that any Patient was then in the Hospital insane.
He did not order the prisoner into confinemt for his going out at night for he appeared not to want it – was in his senses – and did not repeat the offence – Had headaches about that period.
If he had thought him insane on the morning following his going out he would have put him under restraint.
