was done, & supplicating begging him to save them from ruin. Bindabon engaged to keep them in his house but as the thieves had not been sent from the tanna, they were still afraid of being sent. I saw their bare hands extended in a supplicating posture; but observed no mark or wound on the hand of Bindabon. When they called on me, no man was with them. I went to Bindabon’s almost every day, & stayed often he retired to rest, while the brothers were there. they seemed under no restraint. I have seen them after that very often at my house: they were not accompanied by any one. I saw no joyke with them, nor ever any pyke
