came from Cawnpore on purpose to give Evidence on this Prosecution, and he said it would be attended with inconvenience and expence to him to be obliged to stay Six Months longer in Calcutta, and yet General Stibbert would not order him to return unless the Trial, as the General was inform’d, should be intirely over.
On this the Court pronounced the Indictment to be Quash’d, and directed the Prisoners
