a Painter, who was an Intimate friend of my brother Chambers, and was greatly admired by him, and was also a friend of Mr. Wilton who was the King’s statuary, and was the Father of my brother Chambers’s Wife. Sir Joshua Rennolds had the merit with my brother Chambers, of having recommended him to Miss Wilton whom he married, and who is I think an excellent Wife. However I do not think that a sufficient Justification for his joining Impey in an Act which seems to me, an Act of pure illegal violence, the Act of turning out Uvedale to make way for Johnson An Action relative to that appointment will probably be brought on which will probably be brought on which occasion I shall enter more at large into my [sentiments] on that subject.
