they are expected soon. They were to prove that the Defendant being Oodadar had permission from the Provincial Council of Dacca to use severities for the Recovery of Money he had paid to the Company, or to sell the Zemindary.
The Plaintiff finding these Zemindarries would be sold, rather desired this confinement, and the punishment that he might send word of it to the Riots or Tenants of the Zemindarry that they might raise money to enable him to pay the plaintiff.
No Witness was call’d but one who attempted to prove the Defendant was poor though it was notorious he was very rich. Little attention was paid to him by the Court, he being Vakeel to the Defendant.
Dammages. Five Thousand Arcot Rupees.
